This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from https://www.buuck.io (the "Site"), including its documentation and related pages.

Buuck is self-hostable booking software. This policy covers the marketing Site and our sales, licensing, and managed hosting services. If you self-host Buuck, customer and booking data on your own servers is under your control and is not covered by this policy.

Personal information we collect

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies installed on your device. As you browse the Site, we may also collect information about the pages you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as "Device Information."

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

  2. "Log files" track actions occurring on the Site and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.

When you purchase or attempt to purchase a Buuck license or managed plan through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, email address, and phone number (if provided). Payment card details are collected and processed by our payment provider(s); we do not store full credit card numbers on our systems. We refer to this purchase and account information as "Order Information."

If you use Pro Managed or another hosted service we operate for you, we may also process account credentials and operational data needed to run and support your instance.

When we talk about "Personal Information" in this Privacy Policy, we mean Device Information, Order Information, and any account or support information you provide to us.

How do we use your personal information?

We use Order Information primarily to fulfill purchases placed through the Site (including processing payment, delivering license keys or access, and providing invoices or order confirmations). We also use Order Information to:

  1. Communicate with you about your purchase, license, or support requests;
  2. Screen orders for potential risk or fraud; and
  3. When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information about our products or services.

We use Device Information to help screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and to improve the Site, including by analyzing how visitors use it and how our marketing performs.

For Pro Managed and similar hosted offerings, we use the information needed to run and support your service.

Sharing your personal information

We share Personal Information with third parties that help us operate the Site and fulfill orders, such as payment processors, email delivery providers, and (if we enable them) analytics or hosting providers. Those parties process information under their own privacy policies and only as needed to provide their services to us.

We may also share Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a lawful request for information, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Your rights

If you are a European resident (including in the European Economic Area, UK, or Switzerland), you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. To exercise this right, contact us using the details below.

We process your information to fulfill contracts with you (for example, completing a purchase or providing managed hosting), to comply with legal obligations, or to pursue our legitimate business interests described above. Your information may be transferred outside your country of residence, including to countries where our service providers operate.

Data retention

When you place an order through the Site, we retain Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete it, subject to legal or accounting retention requirements. Device Information is retained only as long as needed for the purposes described above.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change when we do.
